We're celebrating with adoption events at 11 of our kitchens and pantries across the country, side by side with the local rescues that champion dogs every day. Come meet your new best friend — and help a rescue dog spend their next birthday at home.
Every rescue dog deserves a birthday.
Most rescue dogs come home without a birth certificate — no known birthday, no cake, no candles. So the rescue world gave them one: August 1st, DOGust, the universal birthday of shelter and rescue dogs everywhere.
